Infographics and Illustrations

We were to create an infographic for an organization of our choice. I chose Thorn, which is an organization that uses technology developed to help law enforcement save children, and removes sexual abuse material from the internet. I wanted to covey that children are vulnerable and need to be protected. I wanted the information to stand out and to make the reader think and feel moved to make a positive change.

We were to create an illustrated poster for a charity event. I chose the non-profit organization The Sea Shepherd. The event in a sunset cruise. Dinner, dancing, and enjoy the beautiful sunset to raise awareness to defend the oceans wildlife. The Sea Shepherd is an international non-profit organization that engages in direct action campaigns to defend wildlife, and conserve and protect the world’s oceans from illegal exploitation and environmental destruction. The purpose of the event is to raise money and awareness to help stop whaling, shark finning, bycatching, and the destruction of the ocean ecosystems. The cruise is a one-day event to celebrate wold ocean day on June 8th. I wanted the sea life to be the main focus of the poster and show the beauty of that environment.

We were to create a detailed illustration of a building that interests us. I chose to illustrate the Amityville house. I chose to illustrate this project like it was any other house you would find in that neighborhood. I wanted to focus on the house itself and show the beauty of the building despite its horrible history.
