Website Design
Dalai Lama Blog
We were to create a 1000px wide blog. We were to design the blog to feel like it was true to the Dalai Lama himself. I wanted the viewers to discover the many articles, discussions, and different ways they can keep up to date with his Holiness. I wanted to mirror the lifestyle of the Dalai Lama, so I created a minimalistic, clean, and simple theme. The colour scheme I chose was red and Yellow, as seen on the robes of his Holiness. I wanted to have a larger header with the name of the blog, the navigation buttons, as well as a small bio about the Dalai Lama. Then it would flow into the newest blog post. This will save the viewer some time finding the latest news, and would feel like a greeting from his Holiness.
Travel Website
We were to create a website for a fantasy-based travel company. One of the requirements was that they needed a map created from an existing concept- Middle Earth- to use as a header on their website. I illustrated this map to make it stand out against the rest of the website and images, while still having it feel like one cohesive piece.
Flower Shop Website
We were to create a home page for a florists shop call April Flowers. I created a design that allows the audience to discover who April is and what she offers, how to care for their flowers, where to order, and all the other important information that one would need before and after purchasing her products. I also put the latest blog post on the home page, this would entice the viewer to stay on the website a little longer.
